Hope Basic Training, Class 5 Outline
Sara Cruce
Manager,
New Hope Online
Introduction
Sara
first served as a New Hope telephone counselor before being asked
to start the Internet chat room in June, 1997. In this class,
she shares from her personal experience the role that prayer has
played in her life. With this as her frame of reference,
Sara empowers and instructs us in our use of prayer, as New Hope
Counselors. If it's a challenge for you to become comfortable
praying for other people out loud or in print, then this class
will help you to get started. Prayer is an important resource
for us as Christian counselors. It communicates caring in an intimate
way. Prayer provides the means for the counselor to summarize
and clarify the specific needs of the chatter. Most importantly,
prayer connects our chat room visitors with the healing, helping
power of God.
